Our new joint Manager originates from Kilsby and went to school in Daventry.

He spent his youth development at Aston Villa FC where he played as an apprentice professional before moving to local club V.S. Rugby. It was from here Ian was sold to Stoke City FC. Following his time at Stoke Ian went on to play for Rushden and Diamonds, Stevenage FC, Brackley Town and Nuneaton Borough before playing at a semi-professional level for APIA Leichardt in Australia. Ian has also played for Leamington FC and has pulled on the purple shirt for Daventry Town under managers, Mark Kinsella, Darran Foster and Allan Smart.

Ian has held a UEFA A Licence for several years and also has the LMA Diploma in Football Management. He has coached at Sydney FC, Birmingham City, Leamington FC, Worcester City FC and Leamington FC.

He now works for the Football League managing the apprentices and young professionals around several Midlands pro clubs.

Ian said “I have worked hard in non-league football over the past few seasons and built up lots of contacts at all levels of non-league football from the Conference National to UCL level. Hopefully this will add to the excellent contacts Arron now has through his time managing at this level”.

“Having worked in the professional environment for several years I hope to bring a level of professionalism and organisation to Daventry Town along with enthusiasm and a winning mentality”.

“Hopefully this will add to the great work Arron and Andy Marks did at Daventry Town last year. I am really looking forward to working with Arron and the staff at the club and can’t wait to get started with the players”.
